PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

CITY OF PAYNE SPRINGS COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM

 

In accordance with Texas Administrative Code, Title 4, Part 1, Section 30.7, the City of Payne Springs will hold a public hearing at 5:05 p.m. on May 11, 2026, at City Hall regarding the submission of an application to the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) for one or more Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) grants for Program Year 2026. The City may be eligible to participate in the Community Development Fund or other CDBG grant programs managed by the TDA. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the citizen participation plan, the development of local housing and community development needs, the amount of TxCDBG funding available, all eligible TxCDBG activities, and the use of past TxCDBG funds. The City encourages citizens to participate in the development of TxCDBG application(s) and to make their views known at this public hearing. Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their views and proposals to Beth Billings, City Secretary, at 903-451-9229 or secretary@paynespringstx.com. Persons with disabilities that wish to attend this meeting should contact City Hall to arrange for assistance. Individuals who require auxiliary aids or services for this meeting should contact City Hall at least two days before the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made. PROGRAMA DE SUBVENCIONES EN BLOQUE PARA EL DESARROLLO COMUNITARIO

 

De conformidad con el Título 4, Parte 1, Sección 30.7 del Código Administrativo de Texas, la Ciudad de Payne Springs celebrará una audiencia pública a las 5:05 p. m. del Mayo 11, 2026, en el Ayuntamiento, con respecto a la presentación de una solicitud ante el Departamento de Agricultura de Texas (TDA) para obtener una o más subvenciones del Programa de Subvenciones en Bloque para el Desarrollo Comunitario de Texas (TxCDBG) para el Año del Programa 2026. La Ciudad podría ser elegible para participar en el Fondo de Desarrollo Comunitario u otros programas de subvenciones CDBG administrados por el TDA. El propósito de esta reunión es brindar a los ciudadanos la oportunidad de debatir sobre el plan de participación ciudadana, la determinación de las necesidades locales de vivienda y desarrollo comunitario, el monto de los fondos TxCDBG disponibles, todas las actividades elegibles bajo el TxCDBG y el uso de fondos TxCDBG recibidos anteriormente. La Ciudad alienta a los ciudadanos a participar en la elaboración de la(s) solicitud(es) del TxCDBG y a expresar sus opiniones durante esta audiencia pública. Los ciudadanos que no puedan asistir a esta reunión pueden enviar sus opiniones y propuestas a Beth Billings, Secretaria de la Ciudad, llamando al 903-451-9229 o enviando un correo electrónico a secretary@paynespringstx.com. Las personas con discapacidades que deseen asistir a esta reunión deben comunicarse con el Ayuntamiento para coordinar la asistencia necesaria.
